How to clean rattan sofa’s
Cleaning the main structure of your Rattan Garden Chairs & Sofas is simple and easy to achieve with all the things you’ll already have at home! A little bit of TLC goes a long way when it comes to wicker and rattan furniture, so follow these basic steps to keep your rattan sets fresh.
- Washing the cushions
All of our cushions can be removed by unzipping. Remove the covers on all cushions and place them in a washing machine with mild washing detergents. Once the cycle has completed, ensure the covers are completely dry before placing the cover back over the foam. Do this on a regular basis, especially if its been raining, to avoid any build-up of mold/ mildew onto the foam.
2. Getting the grit out
Over time grit and dirt can gather between the weaves, the best way to get this out is with a toothbrush, gently brush all over especially in the corners to release anything from the rattan.
3. Hoover it away
Grab a hoover and use it all over the rattan set to get rid of all of the dirt and grit you’ve just released with the tooth brush.
4. Get it soapy
Get a bucket of warm soapy water and sponge and give the whole sofa and table a good all over then use a garden hose to wash away and soap suds.
3. Let the sun dry it
Yes it really is that simple now just leave the set out in the sun and let the sun dry it all off before placing the cushions back on it.
